We now have a park with limited spaces located adjacent to AMATA, which is free from 18.00 - 07.00 on weekdays, and from 13.00 on Saturday through to 07.00 on Monday. No parking is allowed at other times.

The academy building is also accessible from all other car parks at the Penryn Campus.

The academy building is accessible for wheelchair users or those with specific access requirements and has a limited number of un-reserved disabled parking bays adjacent to the Box Office entrance. Please phone AMATA if you have any access requirements on 01326 259349.

The academy building is also accessible from all other car parks at the Penryn Campus. Please follow the blue dashed route on the map. An Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is now operational in the main car parks at the Penryn Campus. Please note that this does not apply to the AMATA Car Park.

We recommend you park in Car Park A when not using the AMATA Car Park. Please then follow signs across the Penryn Campus to the 'Academy of Music & Theatre Arts'.

The main entrance barrier is located on the spine road between The Exchange and The Academy of Innovation and Research. When approaching the barrier you will notice three lanes: an ‘in’ lane, an ‘out’ lane and a ‘flex’ lane that can change according to the traffic flow needs. Traffic lights and road markings will indicate which lanes are available for use.

The barriers will be in operation continuously, even when parking charges do not apply. (I.e. between 18.00 on Friday’s and 08.00 on Monday’s)

When arriving at the Campus… the barrier will rise automatically for everybody on entry.

Before leaving your car please make a note of your registration number.

Before returning to your vehicle… all drivers will need to pay for their parking and will need to visit a Pay Station when ready to leave but before returning to their vehicle.

Please remember your vehicle registration and follow the touch screen instructions to pay the appropriate tariff. Pay stations accept coin as well as credit and debit cards.

Pay stations are located at convenient points across the campus as follows:

  • The Academy of Innovation and Research Visitors Car Park
  • The Exchange (outside, Reception side)
  • Behind The Design Centre
  • Behind The Environment and Sustainability Institute
  • A fifth pay station will be introduced shortly in the car parks located nearest to Tremough Barton

On leaving the Campus… when the appropriate tariff has been paid, the barriers will raise automatically on exit. The exit points have also been fitted with an intercom which is operational 24/7 should you require support at the barriers for any reason.
